Is there beauty every where?
Following Owain's comment on my picure for Monday's blog he inspired me to look at the tower blocks again and see if i can fring the beauty within this urban landscape. After living in the Countryside for the best part of my adult life i began appreciating stunning rural view that i was fortunate enough to have every morning. Moving to Nottingham I am presented with this concrete garden, which I immediatly hated! I often muse how it depresses me to look upon these towers so i thought i would try to see them in a less ugly disposition.

annie really like how this contrasts with concrete sky, good stuff! x
Thankyou for the comment was feeling shit after ydays tutorial!
I wanted to say that i really like the atmosphere of this photo, Im a lover of night photography but i jus think it tipifies what citys are like at night, not dark!
I mean the lights are illuminating those clouds as if they were smoke and I love the beam of light produced by that one street light.
If you carry on with this my eyes will be very happy...
I've got to say, I love them too.. agree with everything helen sight, it's a fantastic portrayal of what the city really looks like...
i love this. you've made the tower and the city look pretty magical with the occasional twinkling windows. i like that its such a "hard" image full of architecture, yet because of those lights you know people are there too and start to wonder what they're doing!
aah i hope you've realised how beautiful the city can be! i'm a city kid personally, and the city at night, although quite often extremely intimidating, can be beautiful, which is why i love city photography at night so much. This is a gorgeous photo thereof, too.
